The High River Performing Arts Foundation is in full summertime mode with its slate of outdoor performances at The Venue. Next up? Lethbridge Shakespeare Performance Society’s production of The Taming of the Shrew, on July 29. The High River Performing Arts Foundation is on its sixth summer season presenting outdoor shows. Come the cooler weather, the work retreats inside to continue raising funds to build an indoor space for The Venue. The devastating flood of 2013 destroyed the community’s small theatre. Now, the vision: a 12,000 sq. ft. inclusive and collaborative space with a 200-person theatre and multi-use studio space.
