July 16, 2026 UPDATE from Engineering
There will be power reductions for the Calgary transmitter on July 16. This is due to work being done on the tower in Calgary to accommodate adding a standby antenna system to facilitate this summer’s upcoming tower reinforcement. There also may be interruptions lasting several minutes while this work is being completed.
June 29, 2026 UPDATE from Engineering
There is a planned maintenance coming for the On Air System. This will happen between 1 and 2 am on Friday, July 3. While the upgrades are happening, the broadcast will go silent for about 1 ½ minutes while the software is being installed.

Some listeners have let us know that they are having issues with the signal disconnecting when they stream the CKUA broadcast on TuneIn. We are aware of the issue, but we have little capacity to influence or correct issues that arise with a third-party app.

CKUA’s Grande Prairie transmitter (100.9 FM) will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, June 23. Listeners in the area may experience weak signals or interrupted broadcasts throughout the day.
