Brick by brick, the historic Alberta Hotel (originally built in 1903) was reassembled on Jasper Avenue. Today, it’s not only the home base for CKUA — it also harbours one of Edmonton’s most unique event venues.

CKUA’s Performance Space boasts beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows and a remodeled interior, striking the perfect balance between modern style and heritage charm. Whether you’re planning a staff party, workshop, networking event, or conference, we’ve got what it takes to make your event a success.

CKUA’s Performance Space

2343 sq. ft. | Capacity: 182 standing, 113 seated, beverage & dining

With its soaring windows to the north and the stylish acoustic wall to the south, the CKUA Performance Space is both chic and multi-functional.

Wired for your technical needs and adaptable to any configuration, this striking space was designed to welcome the public and the surrounding arts community. Its grand atmosphere is enhanced by floor-to-ceiling glass at the back of the room, and facing the park to the west. The main entrance is through the front lobby, with a feature wall portraying our iconic CKUA 580 AM mural. We also provide a green room, a serving kitchen and accessible washrooms.

Rooftop Terrace

With sweeping views of Edmonton’s river valley, our top-floor terrace will ensure your event makes an outstanding impression. It’s literally a view from the top!

Rosen Board Room

223 sq. ft. | Capacity: 22

CKUA’s elegant rooftop boardroom brings a fresh perspective to your next meeting. The space offers a vibrant, open atmosphere, ready for two to twenty-two.

3rd Floor Board Room

570sq. ft. | Capacity: 18

CKUA’s 3rd floor boardroom space is equipped with a kitchenette, projection screen, and wifi. Eighteen team members can get down to business.

4th Floor Terrace

2450 sq. ft. | Capacity: 60

A perfect option for your outdoor event, CKUA’s fourth-floor terrace provides a river valley view at the same capacity as the Rooftop Terrace, but includes a kitchenette.

By foot: we’re at 9804 Jasper Avenue, across the street from the Edmonton Conference Centre.

By transit: there are six bus stops within one block, and the Churchill LRT station is close by.

By car: options include underground parking at Canada Place, a surface lot across the street, and more.
