Alberta plays host to a series of concerts this week by the duo of Montreal cellist Stéphane Tétreault and Akiko Tominaga, a pianist based in Calgary.
They’ll perform a wide range of cello and piano music this weekend. The tour takes them to the High River United Church October 20, 2023, the Rimbey Public Library on the 21st, and to the Lougheed Performing Arts Centre in Camrose on the 22nd.
They joined Grant Stovel on Alberta Morning to chat about the particular appeal of cello and piano together, the eclectic program of great music that they have planned, and the thrill of playing music in smaller communities and intimate spaces.
