Sarah Hin Ching U on the future of Dance

Interview

Silent Howl is a multimedia contemporary dance project from Vancouver-based choreographer and dance artist Sarah Hin Ching U. This performance is inspired by Sarah U’s lived experience with a seizure disorder.

She encapsulates the feeling of uncontainable movements and energy through a frenetic combination of movement, animation, and electronic music. Silent Howl is being performed as part of Good Women Dance Collective’s Convergence, November 16 to 18 at the Westbury Theatre.

CKUA’s Scott Zielsdorf caught up with Sarah Hin Ching U ahead of the show to learn more of her creative journey and inspirations behind Silent Howl.
