On Books: Commemorating Joyce Doolittle

When Calgary theatre icon Joyce Doolittle died last year at the age of 91, any plans to celebrate her life with a big event were derailed because of COVID-19. But her longtime friend, Sally V. Truss, felt it was important to commemorate Doolittle’s life and illustrious career.

The writer, musician, and arts facilitator gathered stories, memories and other tributes to the legendary Alberta theatre professional and added them to the recently published book, Joyce Doolittle: A Community Telling Stories.
