Graveyards and Gardens explores memory with dance and music

Part dance, part music, Graveyards and Gardens is a collaborative dance performance installation, which explores the idea of memory as a series of distortions and reconstructions, rather than the precise recounting of past events.

Created and performed by acclaimed dancer/choreographer Vanessa Goodman and Pulitzer Prize-winning musician/composer Caroline Shaw, Graveyards and Gardens channels the often abstracted and distorted nature of memory through innovative use of movement, lighting and sound design.

Graveyards and Gardens will be presented April 22 and 23 by the Brian Webb Dance Company at MacEwan University‘s Allard Hall, in the Tim Ryan Theatre Lab.
