A few months ago, we put out the call to aspiring music broadcasters to submit their demos for a CKUA show. To help provide some guidance to folks considering recording their first show, and to give insight into how our programs are crafted, we’ll be releasing a series of ‘Pro Tips’ videos featuring CKUA hosts. Each video in the series will explore a facet of how our programs are crafted. This week, Alberta Morning host Grant Stovel shares his thoughts on how stories can enhance the music listening experience. In this episode, Grant shares one of his favourite song stories, pulls back the curtain on how he researches the music he presents on his show, and his tried and tested advice for finding the heart of any good story.
