CKUA Remembers Ian Tyson

News

All of us at CKUA were deeply saddened to hear about the death of Ian Tyson on December 29, 2022. His influence as a songwriter, performer, and collaborator is unsurpassed, and he will be remembered fondly by fans, fellow musicians, and many friends. Our condolences go out to his family and loved ones. Over the past week, we’ve heard Ian’s music in new ways as we listen to his songs about Alberta, cowboys, ranching, and life. Various CKUA hosts will include tributes to Ian Tyson in their upcoming programs. Check back here often to learn more as plans develop.
