Words In Progress is a virtual platform that affords playwrights the opportunity to road test their work. During Words In Progress Tara Beagan, a nɬeʔképmx and Irish-Canadian theatre artist, will be reading from her provocative work in progress Rise Red River.

The inaugural edition of Words In Progress (founded by professional playwright and performer Louise Casemore) also includes readings from playwrights Dale Lee Kwong and Neil Fleming. The virtual event takes place Tuesday, July 28th at 5:00PM MT.
The readings are free for the public, but the producers are asking patrons to pay forward to a registered charity. In this case The Awo Taan Healing Lodge Society, a non-discriminatory women’s shelter in Calgary.
