Stephanie Florence is an emerging Canadian artist and curator who has ambitions to get their MFA and is currently steeped in conducting research about interspecies interactions and living bodies, as a commodity for capitalist culture.
Most recently, Stephanie curated Systematic Contradictions//Covid Collections, as series of works by three artists, on display now in the storefront of the Army & Navy building on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton, as part of SkirtsAfire reimagined, which is running now until March 14, 2021.
Tony King spoke with Stephanie about the process of selecting the pieces and the unique display environment.
