In his new book NISHGA, Nisga’a writer Jordan Abel explores how the colonial violence of residential school impacted his grandparent’s generation, his father’s generation, and his own.
According to the publisher Penguin Random House, NISHGA “is a book about confronting difficult truths and it is about how both Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples engage with a history of colonial violence that is quite often rendered invisible.”
On Thursday, May 27, Jordan Abel will take part in a one-hour conversation on Wordfest.com, as part of their Imagine On Air series, hosted by David Chariandy.
On the Wednesday, May 26, 2021 episode of Alberta Morning, Tony King spoke with Jordan about the book.
