Local youth artists receive support from Kai-Lee Worsley and Block 1912 café

Social media manager Kai-Lee Worsley believes art is healing, and vital to mental health.

This is why she and Ruby Kaur, owner of Edmonton’s Block 1912, have made space in the Whyte Avenue café for artwork created by youth between the ages of 10 and 17 who are facing challenges in their lives.

Lisa Wilton recently spoke with Kai-Lee about the exhibit, and began the conversation by asking her about the impetus behind the project …

This new exhibit, featuring the art work of youth facing challenges at home, runs until January at Block 1912 on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton.

Block 1912 is open seven days a week and you can see more of the artwork on display at the café on Block 1912’s Instagram page.
