Helen Belay thought this summer was going to be a time of excitement and fun. Instead, it’s turned out to be a period of soul-searching. It’s been a year since Helen graduated from the acting program at the University of Alberta.
Her career is off to a great start. Helen has worked with several professional companies, and she landed a gig at Edmonton’s biggest theatre, The Citadel, but when the pandemic put the brakes on the theatre world, it gave her a chance to stop and think about the sort of career she wants.
In this #fringespot, Helen talks to Peter Brown about this pivotal moment in her career.
Helen will be appearing online at The Edmonton Fringe that Never Was, she’s preparing a 5-minute topical segment called Currently Current, which will be featured during Fringe Revue Episode 3 which will take place Saturday, August 15th on FringeTV.
