Anna Firth’s ‘Crosshair Animation’ GIRAF16 workshop

Interview

Anna Firth brings her mesmerizing animations to life with tools you’ll find at home. All it takes is two pieces of paper, a ruler, and a smart phone or scanner. On November 28 and 29, 2020, the Vancouver-based artist presents a two-day workshop on her DIY looping technique she calls Crosshair Animation.

It’s part of the GIRAF 16 online Festival of Independent Animation, presented by Calgary’s Quickdraw Animation Society. Anna spoke with CKUA’s Tony King about capturing characters that are continually in motion.
