The Wardens

Friday, March 22nd

The Wardens’ stories and songs rise from the very land they’ve protected as Canadian National Park wardens. With haunting three-part harmonies and chilling tales, the band’s mountain music—blending folk, roots, and Western styles—is rich with a uniquely Canadian culture. Celebrating the return of the wild buffalo, wrangling grizzly bears, lonely nights on the pack trail, and reflecting on an environment in crisis, a performance by The Wardens has been dubbed “the quintessential mountain-culture concert experience.” The band has performed widely across Western Canada and in the US from Alaska to California.

Red Deer Lake United Church is located immediately south of Highway 22X, 8 km west of Macleod Trail S. Turn left at the lights at 53 St. SW then left on Spruce Meadows Green.

Tickets $30/person, Youth (13-18 yrs old) $15, Children (12 years and under) free.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
