Stories – Korora Choirs
Beloved troubadour and choral activist Melanie DeMore brings her electrifying gifts to Korora Choir’s annual Stories concert this spring. Audiences can expect to be moved—both spiritually and physically—when she works her magic with the choirs Saturday, March 2 at 2:00 and 7:00 pm, at West End Christian Reformed Church.
A founding member of Grammy-winning Linda Tillery and the Cultural Heritage Choir, DeMore has been described as “an emissary of tolerance, kindness, and harmony through the sound of her voice.” She will arrive in Edmonton early to work with the choirs, and the Stories concerts will conclude with a set of her songs performed by the mass choir (and those in the audience who find themselves singing along).
In addition to the mass choir pieces, both concerts will feature selections by Shumayela, Korora, and Òran.
The association’s children’s choir Kikimasu will appear at the 2:00 p.m. performance only.
Join Korora for Stories, Saturday, March 2 at 2:00 and 7:00 pm, at West End Christian Reformed Church (10015 149 Street). Tickets are $25 (Students $20, Children $15).
