Spiritus Chamber Choir and Chronos: Connect, Create!

Sunday, May 26th

A long-awaited collaboration with Edmonton’s Chronos and the Calgary-based Spiritus Chamber Choir! The combined sounds of these two fine, award-winning ensembles will enthrall  audiences. The two ensembles first joined together in a Calgary performance in 2015. Spiritus boasts a legacy of nearly 30 years of choral excellence, and was one of the exemplary Canadian choral organizations that inspired the founding of Chronos a decade ago

This program will feature a great variety of unaccompanied choral works presented by the two choirs separately and together, including Rheinberger’s gorgeous double-choir Mass in Eb (Cantus Missae), and music of Eric Whitacre, Gustav Mahler, Andrew Balfour, Stuart Beatch, Katerina Gimon, and more.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
