Luminous Voices & The Canadian Chamber Choir

Our mid-winter concert features the Canadian Chamber Choir, conducted by Julia David and Joel Tranquilla.

With singers from across the country, the choir will be based in and around Calgary for the week before combining with Luminous Voices in performance. One of the many highlights of this Canadian program will be a new work by composer Hussein Janmohamed who will be writing a new work in collaboration with the Canadian Chamber Choir for the performance.

Want to be truly immersed in the Luminous sound? Join us to rehearse February 24 and then perform February 25 with Luminous Voices and the Canadian Chamber Choir in a newly commissioned work “Voices Rising” by Kathryn Parrotta.

The workshop will be led by the Artistic Directors of the Canadian Chamber Choir Dr. Julia Davids and Luminous Voices Dr. Timothy Shantz along with singers from both choirs!

The price includes:
* Participating in the workshop on February 24, 2024
* Ticket to the 3:00 pm concert on Sunday, February 25, 2024
* Singing in the premier of “Raising Voices” February 25, 2024
