It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play

Friday, December 8th - Saturday, December 16th

It’s a Wonderful Life is based on the story, The Greatest Gift by Philip Van Doren Stern adapted by Joe Landry.

Based on the classic film by Frank Capra. This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve. An inspirational, heartwarming story about giving and receiving, about life and all the paths we walk, about true and lasting love and guardian angels. Morpheus Theatre very proudly welcomes you to Bedford Falls with this holiday favourite, presented from the perspective of a radio show cast with a live studio audience, and live Foley sound effects.
“One of the best holiday shows around. This is a fresh and inventive way of reconnecting with a classic story of love and redemption.” Chicago Sun-Times

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we’d love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
