Free concert and dance featuring Frank Peters and Range Patrol

Friday, May 17th

The weather forecast for May 17 is 18, sun and clouds and a light wind. Come out and enjoy listening and dancing to Frank Peters and Range Patrol, a quartet featuring a fine selection of traditional country music, easy on the ears and a delight for dancers. Frank Peters has created a body of work that reflects his life journey, from the 50s family farm at Cowichan Station down so many highways and byways, with their twists, turns, detours and destinations. Frank’s songs celebrate roaming, from fortune to tragedy, chasing love and wisdom wherever it would reside.
In addition to Frank’s thoughtful lyrics and melodies, the band features multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Lloyd Jackson on guitars, mandolin, banjo, harmonica (and saxophone, sometimes!). The rhythm section features the fine musicianship of Dan Jackson, on bass, guitar, banjo and vocals and Rob Gilgan on drums.
What do audiences say about Frank Peters and Range Patrol? “We really appreciate the variety of music you play”, “You guys are terrific to dance to”, and “ So nice to hear band that can play without blowing the doors off.”
Kick up your Friday nights this summer with the Capstone Cabaret – a series of free outdoor concerts at Canada 150 Square guaranteed to get you moving and grooving!

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we’d love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
