Nathaniel Rateliff on the record that saved his career

“If this all would have happened in our 20s I think we would have fallen apart, really. It takes a lot to keep your head together and not just accidentally party yourself to death out there.” – Nathaniel Rateliff on the timing, and unanticipated success, of his 2015 breakthrough Night Sweats.

This past July at Calgary Folk Music Festival, Nathaniel and bandmate Joseph Pope III spoke with Dirty Windshields Radio Hour host Leeroy Stagger about how that record may have been their last, the advice they’d give struggling musicians, and the band’s humanitarian work with the The Marigold Project. Plus, Nathaniel give us details on his forthcoming solo record.
