We’re happy to report that during the Spring Fundraiser, CKUA received $988,123 in total donations, and welcomed 302 first-time donors.

CKUA’s Chief Development Officer, Kevin Fitzgerald, focuses on the word “partnership” when he thinks about what CKUA has done in this fundraiser. Hosts create programs, he says, and staff and volunteers work behind the scenes. He’s quick to note, however, “None of this works unless our listeners choose to become donors. When listeners become partners, what they are really saying is that this beautiful thing called CKUA makes sense to them. It only happens when we all work together.”
Fitzgerald notes that gifts will continue to come in over the coming days, allowing CKUA to meet its $1 Million campaign goal. He says, “CKUA is growing, but like any growing business, it requires funding. Fundraising pays the bills, and it also says that the work CKUA does matters. So our message to our donors is simple: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
