South Country Fair’s virtual celebration, hosted by Leeroy Stagger

News

On Saturday July 18 at 12:00pm (MT), CKUA celebrates South Country Fair with a special Festival Radio edition of the Dirty Windshields Radio Hour with Leeroy Stagger!

Leeroy will bring us the story behind this Fort Macleod-based festival, which began as a camping weekend for folk clubs back in 1987. More than three decades later, South Country Fair continues to expand horizons with an annual three-day event focused on delivering a diversity of music, spoken word and performance art.

During this virtual celebration, we will be hear from Ryland Moranz and Shaela Miller. Leeroy will speaking with Ryland about growing up at the South Country Fair. Shaela will share with us about inspiring the next generation of female artists through the SCF Kids Rock Camp program.

We’ll also hear from Festival Directors Trent Moranz and Maureen Chambers and Artistic Director Gillian Moranz. Plus, volunteer coordinator April Hutchinson will tell us about her 20 year volunteer history with the Fair, a festival that boasts more than 400 volunteers!

Not only that, there will be live sessions from Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer, Mariel Buckley and more!

Tune in Saturday July 18th at 12:00pm!
