Do you (or someone you know) have a 200-300 word story about you and CKUA that you’d like to share with us? Please let us know by writing us. We’d love to feature it! What do such stories look like?
Well, here’s a touching one by Della from Medicine Hat.
My whole family loves CKUA. That includes includes two teenage boys who have grown up with the station.
We’ve been listeners and donors since we moved to Alberta almost 20 years ago. Why? Because there is nothing like CKUA anywhere else! And because it connects me to my sister, Brenda Godin.
We have lived in separate provinces most of our adult lives yet remain incredibly close. While our lives have diverged in many different ways we still have so much in common including our deep love for CKUA.
It was her first visit to us here in Medicine Hat that exposed her to CKUA. She went home to eastern Saskatchewan and started listening to you online. She and her husband have been listeners and donors for years too!
It warms my heart to no end to know that even though we are kilometres apart and don’t often see each other (especially these days) we are hearing the same great music every day on CKUA.
