As Remembrance Day approaches, we thank and remember Canada’s veterans and those who continue to serve. Some of CKUA’s hosts have shaped their weekend programming to include special music and reflections. We hope that you will join us, and we hope that the world will know peace in our lifetimes.

Aaron will preview special concerts taking place throughout our province, including ones by Da Camera Singers and Schola Cantorum as well as share some powerful requests that came in through our Fall Fundraiser. Hear works by Fauré, Górecki, Williams, and many more.
The Wake-Up Shake-Up with host Keri Rak

Keri Rak will be spotlighting artists who’ve served in the armed forces, including Elvis Presley, Kris Kristofferson Tony Bennett, and CJ Ramone.
Wide Cut Country with host Allison Brock
Saturday, November 11
10am – noon
Allison has special music to share by Willie P. Bennett and Mike Plume, before and after the 11:00 moment of silence.
Twilight with host Amy van Keeken
Sunday, November 12
10pm – midnight
Twilight is always a quiet and contemplative program, and this episode will include “Remembrance Day/ Flowers Of the Forest” by Bobby Watt, and “Remembrance Day” by Mark Knopfler.
