2025 Programming Update

News

CKUA is happy to announce that some new shows are coming to the weekly schedule!

Content Director Arianne Smith-Piquette says, “I’m very excited to share the new CKUA schedule with our listeners. With Baba and Mark Antonelli retiring in 2024, we knew there would be large shoes to fill. CKUA asked you, our listeners and donors, to share your thoughts with us in a listener survey in the fall. These answers, along with internal statistics, helped direct our programming changes.”

She adds, “We also considered the overall flow of each day of programming for consistency and momentum. CKUA hosts work hard to bring you the best in music, arts, and culture, and we want to position these shows on our broadcast calendar in a cadence that appeals from 6am through to the end of the broadcast day.”

Smith-Piquette notes that some voices will be familiar and some new, but all of the latest programs will offer fresh perspectives and share music to delight and inform CKUA listeners. “Changes start on January 25, 2025, and we’re so pleased to share these fantastic new shows with you. We’re always interested in your thoughts and feedback about programming choices. You can get in touch at feedback@ckua.com to share them.”
