If you’re looking for some inspiration to purchase tickets, meet Peter B. He’s the CKUA listener from Edmonton who won the most recent 50/50 raffle. In early July, he picked up a cheque for $150,880.
He says that as soon as he got the call from CKUA, he started making a list of things he would do with the money. Eliminating some lingering debt was at the top of that list. We ask every winner to choose a song to play on the CKUA airwaves. Peter chose “Back in Black” by AC/DC because the CKUA windfall would put him back in the black!

A loyal CKUA listener since he was a student at NAIT in the 1970s, Peter likes everything from classical music to rock, and everything in between. He’s a fan of Saturday morning programming in particular.
