March 12 is the last day to get your tickets for CKUA’s newest 50/50 raffle. Thursday hosts have some special music planned to remind you to play the raffle that’s going to deliver a big cash prize to one lucky person!
Alberta Morning with host Grant Stovel, 6am – 9am MT
Rub that rabbit’s foot! Throw a coin into a fountain! Join host Grant Stovel as he ponders the things we do to usher in good luck. It’s the day BEFORE Friday the 13th, and the last day of ticket sales for CKUA’s 50/50 raffle. Share your own good luck rituals, and hear other people’s too.
Thoroughfare with host Tony King, 1pm – 3pm MT
Tony King knows time is running out to get your tickets, and he will try to keep pace with the amorphous chameleon that is time with artists like Pink Floyd bemoaning it disappearing, and Jill Barber trying to keep things In Perfect Time. It’s all in relation to time running out as our 50/50 deadline looms.
A Time for Jazz with host Kodi Hutchinson, 6pm – 8pm MT
Join Kodi Hutchinson as he reviews the best of new and old jazz music. You’ll hear a few songs about luck, money, and winning in the mix.
The Cookbook with Jeff Kynoch, 8pm – 10 pm MT
Host Jeff Kynoch will share some tunes that might be top of mind when we think of all the good things a raffle win could bring. Louis Armstrong invites us “On the Sunny Side of the Street,” and Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass celebrate “Days of Wine and Roses.”
Twilight with host Amy van Keeken, 10 pm – midnight MT
Host Amy van Keeken will be in the host chair for the very last moments of 50/50 ticket sales, and she’ll spin some gentle tracks from Neil Young’s beautiful record Silver & Gold.
Tune in for special programming throughout the day on Thursday, March 12, and get your tickets for CKUA’s 50/50 raffle before midnight. You can’t win if you don’t play!
