Each new year gives us opportunities to look back and look forward. At CKUA, we’re celebrating the achievements and joys of the past year. We interviewed hundreds of artists and musicians whose creative work makes life more beautiful and more interesting. We shared music every week from the Top 30 Chart, hearing new albums from emerging stars, local artists, and beloved favourites.
We flipped the switch on a new transmitter tower in Drumheller, renewing our commitment to make CKUA’s signal strong throughout the whole province. We brought good vibes to your back yard when Festival Radio rang out on Saturday afternoons, all summer long. We held two successful fundraising campaigns that demonstrated the power and generosity of our donor community—our Crew. We continued to bring you features we’re proud of, like our Hidden Track podcast, and arts profiles.
And all of this is possible because of donor support. And thanks to your support, we can look forward with hope and excitement to 2022.
We have big plans to continue celebrating music, arts, and culture with inspiring music, compelling interviews, and fresh digital content. We want to reach our audience, which is diverse and growing, in new ways. We hope to be able to gather again, with listeners, donors, volunteers, and everyone who is part of this beautiful community.
