Thursday September 3 will be Ella Blue Day, thanks to Gabriela, Tyler, and Ella, fans of Alberta Morning and Grant Stovel.
Ella celebrated her third birthday recently, and the family decided to make a donation to CKUA: $300 from a three-year-old!
This is what we received for Ella’s Artist’s Statement:
“Hello everybody in radioland, my name is Ella Blue. I hope everyone is heathy and safe.
A little while ago, it was my birthday and I turned three. Things being the way they are, it will not be the celebration that I wish it would be, but I would love to share my birthday party with all you wonderful folks.
So, I thought that if anyone wanted to celebrate on my behalf, they could donate to our favourite radio station for Ella Blue, maybe with the number 3 in the donation, be it 3, 37 or 3 billion dollars, oh my.
Peace, love and understanding to one and all… and keep listening, radio fans.”
Every donation received on Thursday, September 3, will be tallied and then on Friday we’ll reveal how much Ella Blue’s Birthday challenge raised for CKUA.
