CKUA’s performance space has a new name. What a joy it was to celebrate the opening of The Beresh Arts Den! This unique venue will be a place to gather. A site of live music events. A welcoming place to see old friends and make some new ones.

“This is a celebration of the station and what it stands for. And what it has meant to people over the last 98 years. To me, this is more than just a radio station. To me, this is the command centre for the arts in this province. CKUA is a promoter and protector of diversity of thought, music, and discussion. And finally, it is the flagship promoter of young artists.” – Brian Beresh

“Brian, thank you for being a champion for music and the arts, and most importantly, for community. Your investment in CKUA will help to create memories and bonds that will last a lifetime.” – CKUA CEO Marc Carnes

“Thank you, CKUA. We’ve been here for you for a long time, and we’ll be here for you forever.”  – Brian Beresh

“We have needed a space and a place at CKUA for the artists to call home. When the music business finds out that this stage is available, it makes all the difference in the world. It will be a place for artists to play, perform, and record. This country, more than ever, needs CKUA, the music it plays, and the togetherness it holds. This is a community that all of Canada needs.”   – CKUA host Terry David Mulligan

“The success of our current campaign is due in significant measure to Brian and Pat. We still have a long way to go, but we are actively speaking to many others throughout the province, to join Brian and Pat in supporting this incredible Alberta resource.”  – former CKUA Board Chair Bud Steen

“Brian and I are very honoured and proud to be part of that group of donors who give to the station and who value all of the things that it stands for: the arts, the culture, the music.” – Pat Paradis

The McDades provided the soundtrack to get the audience moving.

“I love this space. My hope is that this unique, cozy, comfortable space will encourage, facilitate, and support a variety of arts, for all ages, for all levels of talent, for all types of art form.” – Brian Beresh

Thanks to all who joined in the festivities on March 28, and many thanks to Brian Beresh for his generosity to CKUA.

Thank you to our event partners: Color de Vino, Production Lighting and Blindman Brewing.
