Purple City Fest: Tune in on Thursday, August 28, 6-9am MT to Alberta Morning when Grant Stovel and Birdy Loughlin dive into Purple City, the explosive festival taking over downtown Edmonton September 5-7.
Birdy will talk to Purple City executive director Ryan Rathjen, as well as Austin-based punks BÖNDBREAKR, Calgary no-wave act Dial Up, and the weirdo-Western experience known as The Bobby Tenderloin Universe. Grant Stovel will be playing tunes from the festival’s deep, diverse lineup; make sure you set your alarm for this one!
Badlands Roots, Blues & Barbecue: The eighth annual Badlands Roots, Blues & Barbecue returns to the Drumheller’s Badlands Amphitheatre on Saturday, September 6, filling the valley with music, smoky barbecue, and an unforgettable setting against the backdrop of Canada’s largest outdoor stage.
