CKUA celebrates Independent Bookstore Day

Interview

April 30 is Canadian Independent Bookstore Day. Alberta’s many booksellers add so much to the culture and vibrancy of our province. One of these booksellers is Brandi Morpurgo, owner of the Daisy Chain Book Co. in Edmonton. Daisy Chain’s story is remarkable: it started as a book truck, turned into a bookstore, and weathered the storm of the pandemic so well that Brandi has now announced plans to open a second location, in Beaumont, later this year.

Friday April 29 we celebrate independent bookstores all around the province! CKUA’s Tony King spoke with Daisy Chain Book Co. owner Brandi Morpurgo.
