CKUA Fundraisers are always a high-energy mix of live music, dance parties and infectious joy as our community comes together, both in person and in spirit.
Twice a year, we send out the call. We ask CKUA listeners to support the radio they love. It’s a reminder that, as a group, we can’t stop. We can’t stop – and we won’t stop – working to ensure that CKUA lives on, vibrant and strong.
Right now, the world needs more CKUA, not less.
CKUA creates a community that is welcoming. It’s a musical home—a place where people belong.
CKUA creates a community that is connected. It connects people across the miles and breaks down barriers of background, life experience, and age.
CKUA creates a community that is healthy. The music and community connections that CKUA offers the world have the power to impact our outlook, wellness, and mood.
CKUA creates a community that is inspired. It elevates the arts sector, celebrates creativity, and supports the work of musicians and culture-makers.
CKUA is only able to do these things because of donors.
It would be nice if it only took fairy dust and magic to keep your favourite hosts on air. But it takes you and your neighbours and your colleagues. It takes each individual donation. That’s how we keep this musical lifeforce alive and strong.
To keep CKUA on the air for many years to come, everyone must play their part.
