A Day To Listen 2026

On Air

On Wednesday, September 30, in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, CKUA will participate, along with radio stations across Canada, for A Day To Listen.

A Day To Listen is presented in partnership with the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund, which aims to build cultural understanding and create a path toward reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Their work is inspired by Chanie’s story and Gord’s call to build a better Canada.

This year’s theme is Honouring Truth with Action. Between 6am and 6pm MT, you will hear special programming, hosted by singer-songwriter William Prince.

Clips from such guests as Dr. Kisha Supernant, Chief Dr. Robert Joseph, Aaju Peter, Connie Walker, Albert McLeod, Aly Bear, Cindy Blackstock, Jared Visitor, Salia Joseph, Sempulyan Stewart Gonzales, Clint Davis, Niigaan Sinclair, JP Gladu, and Stephanie Tuurngaq Gilbert will be heard throughout the day.
