The end of a calendar year is a great time to reflect on what we, as a community, have been able to do together. 2025 has been a full and vibrant year for CKUA. Everything we offer at CKUA is only possible because of donor support:

– spinning thousands of tracks, including music by local, emerging, and independent musicians
– hundreds of interviews with musicians, actors, comedians, authors, and artists
The original, thoughtfully curated radio our hosts produce is free to listen to, but not to create, broadcast, or stream. CKUA makes it happen, and listeners who donate make it possible. Financial support from listeners is essential for CKUA to continue its work. Here are some great ways to support CKUA before December 31.
Make a year-end donation. It’s easy to do at CKUA.com or by tapping the app. Donate before December 31 and you’ll receive a tax receipt for this year.
Start a monthly donation. Ongoing support is particularly impactful for CKUA. Because you value what you hear, begin a monthly gift today.
Donate an hour of programming. Whether it’s for your own enjoyment or as a gift for a loved one who doesn’t need another sweater, a donated hour is special. You can choose a favourite program and connect with the host to share musical memories and suggestions.
Consider a gift of stocks and securities. When you donate your publicly listed securities to the CKUA Radio Foundation, any capital gains are tax-exempt, and you’ll receive a donation receipt for the full market value.
Support CKUA’s holiday 50/50 raffle. If you have the winning ticket, it could help pay those holiday bills! All our past raffles have had six-figure payouts, and our last winner took home more than $170,000. Our raffles have big cash prizes, and they support CKUA, too!
