The triennial Banff International String Quartet Competition (BISQC) is returning to the Banff Centre For Arts and Creativity for the first time since 2019.
From August 29th to September 4th, musicians representing 16 countries are set to gather in Banff. Toronto’s Dior Quartet will take part in the competition this year, and this quartet features members representing Israel, Korea-Canada, St. Lucia, and the USA. The only BISQC group hailing from Canada, the Dior Quartet debuted in January of 2021 and seek to explore the immigrant experience through their art.
