This month, Calgary’s Quickdraw Animation Society has released a new publication exploring the past, present, and future of queer animation. On LGBTQ2S+ Animation is a collection of essays, comics, and other works exploring queerness, identity and representation in animation.
This free publication is available online, along with a companion playlist of animated films. Mike Hooves was one of the organizers, and also contributed illustrations and animations to the project. They joined Lisa Wilton on Traffic Jams:
