On Theatre: The Real Disaster Show

Interview

How much extreme weather change can the human body withstand? Well, Mile Zero Dance Artistic Director, Gerry Morita, set out to create a show that answers that very question. The Real Disaster Show is an upcoming dance production from MZD that explores the notion of the human body facing climate change, pitting humans against extreme winds, melting ice and more – all in the expressive element of dance, of course.

The Real Disaster Show is set to show on April 29-30 at the FAVA Production Studio in Edmonton.

Gerry Morita recently joined CKUA’s Grant Stovel to share more about The Real Disaster Show, and the evolution it’s taken since 2020’s phenomenally tech savvy success, The Disaster Show.
