
The play is described as “a comedic-themed, historically based drama about small town gossip, support, and sabotage,” and imagines the events surrounding a house fire in the village of Big Valley, Alberta in December of 1921. It promises to explore “the uneasy intertwining of prostitution and ‘proper’ society, and the ways that women support and sabotage one another.”
The play will have its professional premiere following a sold-out run at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival in 2018.
