Calgary’s Lunchbox Theatre is hosting a new play development program they’re calling Stage Two, which presents three new plays selected from their Stage One development festival.
By The Book, the second play in the series, is set to premiere on Saturday, October 2 at noon. When the main character of playwright James Odin Wade’s story is found dead, Detective Kevin Chen is tasked with finding the killer before the story falls apart. As things begin to unravel, these stock characters compete for their own version of the story, and Kevin must decide what kind of character he wants to be.
