“The thing about poets is that they write from the front lines of everyday life, and what they see and feel and find there. Poets are in some ways like journalists, in that they’re reporting back to us what they’re experiencing and encountering. And they have a little more freedom than journalists to dig into our reactions to what’s going on.”
So says Anita Lahey, Series Editor for the annual Best Canadian Poetry anthology, which is out now via BiblioasisPress.
