The Calgary European Film Festival is set to unspool a selection of 26 films from 26 different countries, in celebration of their most diverse lineup ever. The quintessential “little festival that grew” began in 2012 with a small collection of five movies screened over a weekend.
Now this event plays host to a number of official Academy Award submissions for 2022, and is screening films from across the continent, representing countries from Spain to Moldova.
On Wednesday, November 3, 2021 on Alberta Morning, CKUA’s Tony King spoke with festival’s President, Adrian Glavan, about the exponential growth of the festival, and highlights from this year’s crop of films.
