An expansive white space that is at once awe-inspiring and rapidly changing. Five hundred miles from the North Pole, a scientific expedition is held hostage by the sea it has come to study. A small crew with kayaks and fundamental camping gear land on a desolate beach nestled along the Arctic Ocean, and what they find is completely unfamiliar and alarming. The film, ALBEDO – In Search of a Frozen Ocean, chronicles the harrowing adventure, and is showing as part of the Available Light Film Festival in Whitehorse this week.
