New York City’s Complexions Contemporary Ballet is coming to Alberta for a run of shows in both Edmonton and Calgary. The renowned ballet company is teaming up with Alberta Ballet to present two shows that explore humanity and love. Woke and Love Rocks both feature music from a diverse range of artists, including, among others, Kendrick Lamar and Diplo (for Woke), and the legendary Lenny Kravitz (for Love Rocks).
The Edmonton performances are set to take place February 10-11, followed by shows in Calgary, taking place February 16-18. Grant Stovel spoke with ten-year veteran of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Jillian Davis, about the dynamic music underpinning the show Love Rocks, plus so much more:
