He’s a farmboy who became an internationally-renowned composer of classical music, and John Estacio is now a member of The Order of Canada.
He started off playing accordion and piano as a kid, progressed to local church organist, composition student at university, and eventually achieved his career breakthrough as Composer in Residence with organizations like the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic, and Calgary Opera.
