Veteran sculptor, jewellery maker, and found objects artist Shona Rae brings her latest sculpture exhibition, Converse Subversives, to cSpace in Marda Loop, Calgary starting Friday, June 30.
Among her accomplishments, Shona Rae has received the Alumni Legacy Award from the Alberta College of Art and Design, the Award of Excellence from the Alberta Craft Council and The Steel Trophy Award from the Canadian Metal Arts Guild. In addition to her work as a visual artist, Rae also fronts the band Shona Rae and the Bona Fides.
Shona Rae joins CKUA’s Lisa Wilton on Tuesday’s Traffic Jams ahead of the new exhibition’s launch.
