The Immigrant Council for Arts Innovation celebrates the work of multidisciplinary visual artist, Manuela Albarracin, September’s Artist-in-Residence with the Women’s Centre Calgary.
In a recent profile by the ICAI, Manuela described her practice as focusing on “discussions of living disabled, queer, Colombian, Nariñense and femme in a white, patriarchal, cis/hetero-normative and colonial society.”
On Wednesday, September 22, at 8:45 AM (MT) on Alberta Morning, we heard more about Albarracin’s practice in her interview with CKUA’s Grant Stovel.
