On Art: Lisi, Joe, and Caitlin share more about their exhibit, ‘twig salad, mountain soup’

Interview

Aside from showcasing a wide range of indie and classic films, Metro Cinema’s Garnaeu Theatre is also host to a rotating gallery of visual art. Currently on display in the Metro Gallery for the month of July is twig salad, mountain soup. The experimental art installation is a joint effort from young artist collaborators Gwendolyn Turner, Annalisa Hartfield-Richards & Co. – Lisi and Gwen, for short.

Lisi Hartfeil-Richards is a 4-year-old who loves creating maps and drawing bugs. She has also been known to make a mean egg salad sandwich. Gwen Turner is 3 and enjoys drawing snakes, sidewalks and scary monsters. The two friends are both the children of multi-disciplinary artists.

twig salad, mountain soup also features a selection of works from the parents responding to their kids’ works. Lisi and her parents, Caitlin Sian Richards and Joe Hartfeil, recently joined CKUA’s Oskar Zybart to share more.
